Listeners to cast votes for their favourite station
23 Mar 2018
The adjudication results of the bumper crop of entries in the 2018 Liberty Radio Awards are presently being audited and it's now time for the listeners to have a say in the outcome of the My Station category. "Whilst the adjudication of the various categories will be done by a panel of radio and media specialists, the My Station category provides the opportunity for listeners to recognise their favourite station," says Lance Rothschild, CEO of the Liberty Radio Awards.
The My Station category is broken down into two sections: the first being the station that simply generates the most votes overall, and the second being the station that has the most loyal listeners – which is a measure of the ratio of votes generated over the station's RAM listenership figures. In other words, this is the station that generates the most votes based on the size of their audience.
Listeners can vote online at no charge by completing an entry at
www.libertyradioawards.co.za and will stand to win a R40 000 cash prize, or a VIP experience for you and a partner to the 2018 Liberty Radio Awards.
Killy Bacela, Divisional Director of Group Brand and Marketing at Liberty, says; "Our commitment to the Liberty Radio Awards enhances the focus on those who strive to make compelling radio; those who keep knowledge at close reach and those who continue to raise the bar on what real, credible news and stories should be. Through the awards, Liberty hopes to meaningfully contribute to the progression of the industry by applauding and rewarding those who continue to raise the bar through storytelling and entertainment."
The Liberty Radio Awards takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre on Saturday 14th April. More details about the Liberty Radio Awards as well as the terms and conditions for the My Station competition may be found at
