A message from Liberty Group Executive for Operations, Sunil Nagar
What an astonishing year this has been for all of us. For me it has been a time of immense gratitude to all of you - our clients - who have stayed the course with us and have given us at Liberty a chance to prove that we are in it with you.
It goes without saying that the COVID-19 crisis has impacted everybody's lives and none of us are immune to it. To those of you who have been directly affected through losing loved ones or friends, our hearts go out to you.
Our purpose at Liberty is to make a difference in people's lives, by being there when people need us the most. Our actions in dealing with this crisis were guided by our three leadership principles: Imagine its possible; Act with humanity; Do what matters.
During 2020 we've really been tested. As a life insurance company and as an asset manager providing investment solutions. It has been a very trying year.
Because some of you encountered financial difficulties during the lockdown and subsequent economic upheaval, we at Liberty were able to provide various forms of payment relief to thousands of you, to help you stay insured and safe.
We were also able to provide measures to keep your investments stable, for you to remain comfortably invested despite the challenging economic conditions encountered by many.
For those of you and your family members who were directly affected by the pandemic, you will know that our staff at Liberty worked under trying conditions to quickly process all valid claims, this to provide relief and support when it was needed the most. We will continue to do this, because this is our fundamental purpose at Liberty.
We want to continue to work hard to be able to fulfil our purpose, to make sure that Liberty is able to continue to serve you and be there at the most critical times.
Please stay safe, please stay healthy. Let's all continue to observe those health protocols that have served us so well this year. I thank you all so much and please remain safe.
